Google is seeking a Staff Software Developer for the Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) - Multitenancy team. This role involves building solutions for first-party Google teams to create multi-tenant platforms that optimize latency and cost efficiency. As a strategic effort for GKE, the goal is to raise the bar on what's achievable to empower services to deliver unparalleled experiences to Google Cloud Platform's customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, data structures/algorithms, and extensive experience with infrastructure, distributed systems, and cloud computing technologies, particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Key responsibilities include providing technical leadership on high-impact projects, influencing and coaching a distributed team of developers, facilitating alignment across teams, managing project priorities, and designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software solutions.

Requirements For Staff Software Developer, Google Kubernetes Engine Multitenancy, Cloud

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms
  • 5 years of experience building and developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
  • 5 years of experience in distributed cloud computing, including 3 years of experience in containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
