As a Staff Software Engineer in Infrastructure for Google Cloud Compute, you will work on developing next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The role involves working on large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, and compute technologies. You will provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, influence and coach a distributed team of engineers, and manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitating alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines
• Managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing large scale software solutions

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software development, data structures/algorithms, and experience with building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, with preferred qualifications including a Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
