Google is seeking a Technical Lead for Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) IP Design to join their diverse team that pushes boundaries in developing custom silicon solutions. As a Technical Lead, you will:
- Lead a team of RTL engineers, managing IP development plans, conducting code and design reviews, and developing complex IP features.
- Collaborate with the architecture team to develop implementation strategies that meet quality, schedule, and PPA (Power, Performance, Area) requirements for the IP.
- Work cross-functionally with Verification, Design for Test, Physical Design, and Software teams to make design decisions and represent project status throughout the development process.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in micro-architecture and coding in areas such as memory compression, interconnects, coherence, cache, Dynamic Random-Access Memory controller, and Physical Layer Device.
- Experience with Verilog or System Verilog language.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in high-performance design, multi-power domains with complex clocking, and a proven record of multiple SoCs with silicon success.
- Knowledge of system design to develop highly optimized IPs with excellent PPA.
- Understanding of chip design flow and cross-domain involvement in Domain Validation, Design for Testing, and Physical Design.
- Experience in various quality checks performed at the front end, including Lint, CDC/RDC, Synthesis, and Line Echo Cancellation.
