Description For Technical Program Manager III, Data Sustainability Engineering, Google Climate Operations

Google's Data Infrastructure team within Climate Operations is seeking a Technical Program Manager III to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in data sustainability engineering. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to build solutions that support Google's sustainability commitments and goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, program management, and sustainability.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll use your technical expertise to manage projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with partners across the company. You'll be responsible for building data engineering pipelines, developing analytic solutions, and creating independent data marts to support sustainability initiatives.

The role requires a balance of technical skills and program management experience. You'll need to be comfortable explaining complex analyses to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers.   • Work with data sets, solve difficult analysis problems, and apply advanced analytical methods as needed
  • Conduct analyses that include data gathering and requirements specification, exploratory data analysis, data analysis results or solution development, and delivery of results to partners and stakeholders
  • Partner with team members and cross-functional engineering teams to identify the right data sources and processes, and to develop high quality data integrations, data pipelines, architecture, and reporting solutions
