Vice President, Software Engineering, Data Center Infrastructure

Google is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering for Data Center Infrastructure and Development to lead their global Software Engineering teams. This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing the development, testing, and deployment of new products, programs, and hardware that support Google's Platform Infrastructure. The role requires driving strategic vision for the Data Center Infrastructure organization, leading innovation in cloud software and services, and managing large engineering teams across compute infrastructure, deployment, and testing domains.

The position demands expertise in large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, and cloud technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing engineering best practices, driving software quality metrics, and ensuring the delivery of infrastructure that powers all Google and Google Cloud services. The compensation package includes a base salary of $550,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain Operations, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and others. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of software development experience and 8 years of QA engineering delivery experience, along with a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
