Sr IS Software Engineer

Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Information Systems (InfoSys) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the world's leading visual effects facility, contributing to the technology that powers movie and TV show production across ILM's global studios.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining robust cross-platform applications that enable efficient production workflows. The role involves full-stack development, working with both frontend and backend technologies to create solutions that enhance productivity across all of ILM's global studios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full stack development of robust workflow-based applications
• Building and supporting integrations with Oracle EBS and enterprise platforms
• Architecting larger applications and developing standalone modules
• Implementing user-friendly interfaces for new modules and applications
• Ensuring code quality through documentation and maintenance
• Writing UI and unit tests
• Leading code reviews and mentoring other team members
• Monitoring system health and reducing technical debt

Technical Requirements:

• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and CSS/HTML
• Proficiency in Vue.js or React
• Python development with Django experience
• SQL and GraphQL knowledge, particularly with PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Linux and Docker expertise
• Experience with web and proxy configuration (Nginx)
• Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ) and AWS services

The position offers a competitive salary range of $138,900 to $186,200 per year, along with potential bonuses and long-term incentives. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days onsite at the San Francisco office.
