They are seeking a Quantum Software Engineer to join their innovative team in Louisville, Colorado. This role combines advanced quantum physics knowledge with software engineering expertise, requiring the ability to design and optimize numerical simulations of quantum systems. The position offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $160,000, along with comprehensive benefits including full healthcare coverage and 401(k) matching. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in computational AMO physics or equivalent experience, strong programming skills in Python, and experience with quantum systems simulation. Responsibilities For Quantum Software Engineer
- Design, build, and test numerical simulations of physical systems
- Use GPUs or other High Performance Computing techniques to speed-up simulations
- Drive results and present findings to customers
- Stay up-to-date on literature and pursue cutting edge quantum simulations
- Communicate and interpret cutting-edge research
- Maintain codebases for high usability and performance
- Mentor junior team members and supervise interns
Requirements For Quantum Software Engineer
- PhD in computational AMO physics or related field; or equivalent professional experience (4+ years)
- Experience in writing simulations of quantum systems and light-matter interaction
- Experience using Python, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib
- Experience optimizing numerical simulations for high-speed performance
- Professional-level communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
- Experience with quantum sensing protocols and machine learning (preferred)
- Familiarity with Git, Linux, and CLI tools (preferred)
