Principal Software Engineer

Intuit is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their team and help power prosperity around the world. This role is perfect for engineers passionate about tackling new challenges, solving complex problems, and maintaining deep customer empathy. Working with a small, dedicated team of engineers, product managers, and designers, you'll drive significant technology initiatives and shape AI-native applications.

The role involves accelerating customer, business, and technology outcomes across the organization by identifying and driving key opportunities. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing durable software solutions in a fast-paced environment, with a particular focus on AI technologies and tools. The position requires expertise in building AI-native applications, including working with technologies like SageMaker, Vert.x, LangChain, Large Language Models, and Prompt Engineering.

Key responsibilities include driving end-to-end technology initiatives, creating robust and scalable technical designs, and contributing to cross-functional solutions. You'll work closely with various teams both inside and outside Intuit, partnering on design, development, and integration efforts. The role also involves mentoring others and contributing to engineering standards and best practices.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of systems/software development experience, strong full-stack development capabilities, and proven expertise with AI technologies. You should be comfortable working in cloud computing environments like AWS/GCP and have excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $254,500 - $344,000 for the San Francisco Bay area, plus eligibility for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and comprehensive benefits.
