Description For Software Engineer 1 - Summer Intern

Intuit is seeking Software Engineer Interns for Summer 2025. This position is for students in degree-seeking programs returning to school after the internship. Interns will gain hands-on experience in software engineering practices, including agile development, industry best practices, design discussions, and code reviews. They'll be exposed to DevOps, quality engineering, and performance engineering. As integral parts of development teams, interns will interact with senior leaders and learn from top talent at Intuit.

The internship offers opportunities in various areas of software engineering:

Interns will work on rigorous assignments, interact with senior leaders and business partners, and leverage Intuit's unique business practices. This program aims to help university students gain confidence in making meaningful work contributions that enable business growth with Intuit's products, customers, and internal processes.

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program with 2026 as the graduating year
  • BE / BTech or Integrated ME / MTech in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong software engineering skills
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming languages
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Java, C#, C++
  • Front-end web development skills preferred (HTML, JavaScript, XML, Flex, CSS)
  • Familiarity or ability to learn current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility, and usability
