AIX VSI Power Software Engineer

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an experienced AIX VSI Power Software Engineer to join their Infrastructure Platform team. This role combines infrastructure engineering with software development, focusing on IBM Power systems and AIX environments.

The position involves designing and maintaining critical infrastructure platforms that serve customers and businesses worldwide. You'll be responsible for the complete lifecycle of IBM Power infrastructure, from installation and configuration to ongoing support and optimization. The role requires expertise in AIX Operating Systems, PowerVM, VIOS, and GPFS maintenance, along with strong scripting abilities in Python and Unix Shell.

As part of the Infrastructure Platform group, you'll work alongside innovative technologists to develop cutting-edge solutions using a disciplined, business-focused approach. The role offers the opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges, conduct integration testing, and perform proof of concepts in a stable, resilient, and secure operating environment.

Key responsibilities include system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
