Senior Lead Software Engineer - Java, Cloud Native

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Equities - Prime Financial Service, you are an integral part of Core Engineering and Architecture group which drives the modernization of applications across the group. This group drives various engineering efforts aligned to data engineering, cloud migrations and adoption of AI4Tech within Prime Financial Services technology group.

You will be responsible for providing technical guidance, developing secure high-quality code, and driving decisions that shape product design and functionality. The role requires expertise in Java and cloud technologies, particularly AWS services, and involves working with cloud-native technologies. You'll be part of an agile team that's constantly pushing the envelope to enhance, build, and deliver top-notch technology products.

As a technical leader, you'll influence peers and project decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies while fostering a team culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The position offers the opportunity to work on modernization efforts including data engineering, cloud migrations, and AI4Tech adoption within the Prime Financial Services technology group.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java development, cloud technologies, and system design, with the ability to independently tackle complex technical challenges. Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform and additional programming languages such as Python or JavaScript is a plus.
