As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Commercial and Investment Bank, Digital Platform & Services SRE team, you will be responsible for handling complex and specialized technical issues that require expert-level knowledge. The role involves troubleshooting, problem analysis, and resolution of critical incidents, often requiring deep dives into system architecture, code, and hardware. You'll be working on critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions to support the firm's business objectives.
The position is part of the Commercial & Investment Bank division, a global leader across banking, markets, securities services and payments. Responsibilities For Software Engineer III (JAVA)/with Experience in SRE
- Actively participate in L3 activities by partnering with Production Management to support the DPS applications systems
- Execute software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data
- Create secure and high-quality production code
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate the remediation of recurring issues
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice
- Engage with key stakeholders
Requirements For Software Engineer III (JAVA)/with Experience in SRE
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years applied experience
- Proficient in coding in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Rest API, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular JS/React JS and jQuery
- Experience in container and container orchestration (e.g., ECS, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
- Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience in L3 activities as Deep-Dive Troubleshooting, Code-Level Debugging, System Architecture Review
- Proficiency in observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies
- Experience with development tools (Jira, Git, Confluence, SourceTree, maven, Bitbucket, IntelliJ)
