Machine Learning Engineer - III

The Machine Learning Engineer III at Jumio will play a critical role in advancing the Biometric Verification team's mission to develop and enhance state-of-the-art solutions for liveness detection. This role is essential for ensuring the highest standards of security and user verification through the application of advanced machine learning and deep learning techniques.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing machine learning, deep learning, and classical CV algorithms focused on liveness detection.
• Conducting research to support the deployment of advanced algorithms.
• Developing, evolving, and supporting production-quality code.
• Deploying models as AWS SageMaker endpoints or directly onto devices.
• Staying updated with the latest advancements in deep learning, computer vision, and biometric verification.
• Working collaboratively with other engineers and product managers in an Agile development environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 5+ years of commercial experience in computer vision or a related area (2 years with Master's).
• Proficiency in computer vision and deep learning techniques.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, OpenCV, SKLearn, and developing production-grade Python code.
• Experience in implementing best practices for monitoring and maintaining ML models in production environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Additional desirable qualifications include experience with biometric verification, a PhD in a related field, experience with facial processing and recognition, voice or hand recognition, model deployment to devices, and C++ programming.
