Job Description
KARDA is a mission-driven company redefining law enforcement documentation through AI-driven solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect, scale, and secure AI-powered internal web applications used by law enforcement officers nationwide. You will design scalable APIs with Django, create high-performance React + TypeScript front-end architectures, and leverage AWS infrastructure for a secure environment. Working alongside the CTO, CIO, and AI team, you'll develop cutting-edge LLM applications for report generation and video-to-text transcription. You'll also own cybersecurity best practices, ensuring the protection of sensitive data.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on millions of lives, improve policing effectiveness, and work with a team of Stanford-educated engineers. Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable APIs with Django to support critical workflow
- Create high-performance React + TypeScript front-end architectures while leading technical direction and ensuring exceptional user experience
- Leverage AWS infrastructure to ensure a secure, high-availability environment
- Work alongside the CTO, CIO, and AI team to develop cutting-edge LLM applications for report generation, video-to-text transcription, and more
- Own cybersecurity best practices—every line of code write protects sensitive data used in investigations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and law enforcement advisors to ship tools that just work
Requirements
- 6+ years Years of Exp.
- Relevant professional experience
- Experience with advanced ML or infrastructure concepts such as ReWoo, ReAct, cosine loss functions, or Quaternion-based AI models
- Familiarity with AWS technologies like Fargate, Graviton, or step functions
- Knowledge of data systems and frameworks such as Cassandra or Apollo
