Responsibilities For Staff Engineer - Network Security
- Design, implement, and support enterprise networks including WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and wireless
- Manage and secure network infrastructure using tools like Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler, and Aruba ClearPass
- Establish and enforce security protocols, business continuity plans, and access controls
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on new technology evaluations and deployment
- Maintain up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams and SOPs
- Lead efforts in capacity planning, network optimization, and performance tuning
- Support audit, compliance, and monitoring processes to ensure secure operations
- Align network security strategies with evolving cloud and hybrid infrastructure needs
- Contribute to project planning including pitch decks, funding requests, and case studies
Requirements For Staff Engineer - Network Security
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Deep experience with enterprise network design and security technologies
- Proven hands-on experience with network infrastructure in global manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of IP schemes, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation
- Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party integrations
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences
