Responsibilities For Staff Engineer - Network Security

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise networks including WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and wireless
  • Manage and secure network infrastructure using tools like Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler, and Aruba ClearPass
  • Establish and enforce security protocols, business continuity plans, and access controls
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on new technology evaluations and deployment
  • Maintain up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams and SOPs
  • Lead efforts in capacity planning, network optimization, and performance tuning
  • Support audit, compliance, and monitoring processes to ensure secure operations
  • Align network security strategies with evolving cloud and hybrid infrastructure needs
  • Contribute to project planning including pitch decks, funding requests, and case studies

Requirements For Staff Engineer - Network Security

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Deep experience with enterprise network design and security technologies
  • Proven hands-on experience with network infrastructure in global manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of IP schemes, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party integrations
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences
