Software Engineer (Public Trust required)

Latitude Inc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a remote position requiring an active Public Trust clearance due to government contracts. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of software engineering experience and a strong background in Java backend development.

As a senior member of an Agile team, you'll be responsible for driving consistent development practices, including tools, common components, and documentation. Your role will involve all aspects of technical development, from architecture and design to prototyping, coding, and testing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Writing code and unit tests
• Performing automation and code reviews
• Managing and developing backend services
• Conducting API and unit testing using tools like Swagger, Postman, JUnit, and Mockito

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship and Active Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong Java back-end experience
• Proficiency with Spring/Springboot framework
• Experience with API testing and unit testing

The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $110,000 per year. While not required, Agile certification and cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google) are considered a plus.
