GIS Software Engineer

Maxar Technologies is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to join their MGP integrations team, focusing on developing sophisticated GIS applications and geospatial solutions. This role combines full-stack development with specialized GIS expertise, working on plugins, dashboards, and workflows for Geospatial Products and Production systems.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement in either Westminster, CO or Herndon, VA, requiring several days per week on-site. The role demands expertise in Python, C#, and cloud technologies, particularly AWS services and tools. You'll be working with ESRI/QGIS technologies, developing add-ins and web applications while collaborating with a diverse team of full-stack developers, Enterprise Architects, and database experts.

Key responsibilities include developing new ESRI/QGIS related add-ins, optimizing ETLs in both Linux and Windows environments, and expanding geospatial capabilities with open-source and cloud-native services. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with strong coding skills and deep understanding of GIS technologies.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $98,000 to $164,000 annually for Colorado-based positions, with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
