Meta Reality Labs (RL) is at the forefront of developing Augmented Reality (AR) technology, requiring custom silicon solutions to meet the demanding compute requirements of AR applications. As an SoC Physical Design Engineer, you'll be working on breakthrough technologies in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, and sensors.
The role involves implementing physical design for complex SoC and IP-subsystems, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet challenging power, performance, and area requirements for wearable products. You'll be responsible for the entire physical design implementation process from RTL to netlist, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and static timing analysis.
This position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $114,000 to $166,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. You'll be joining Meta's innovative Reality Labs team, contributing to the development of next-generation AR devices that will revolutionize how we interact with technology.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on ASIC physical design experience, proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools, and strong scripting abilities. You'll work in either Sunnyvale, CA or Austin, TX, collaborating with talented teams across RTL design, DFT, verification, and power optimization.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of Meta's mission to build the future of social technology, moving beyond traditional screens into immersive experiences. You'll be working on cutting-edge hardware that will help shape the next evolution of human-computer interaction, making this role both challenging and highly rewarding for the right candidate.
