Microsoft's Azure Customer Experience (CXP) team is seeking an Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer II to join their dynamic cloud engineering support organization. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on delivering world-class engineering-led support experience for Azure customers. The position offers up to 100% remote work flexibility and involves being the primary support contact for resolving complex Azure-related challenges.

The role requires deep technical knowledge in cloud computing, particularly Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and various monitoring technologies. You'll work at the intersection of customer support and engineering, driving resolution for critical problems while acting as the voice of the customer within Azure to improve platform and support services.

As part of Microsoft's mission to empower every person and organization globally, you'll collaborate with field teams, including Customer Success Account Managers, Cloud Solution Architects, and Support Escalation Engineers. Responsibilities For Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer II– Customer Focused

  • Act as primary support and engineering contact for customer's Azure support experience
  • Drive resolution of complex critical problems and support key customer projects
  • Utilize engineering tools and customer telemetry to identify patterns and issues
  • Conduct health checks to ensure optimal customer environment configuration
  • Handle complex escalations and conduct root cause analysis
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive resolution of high-impact customer issues
  • Provide guidance on designing configurations and deploying solutions on Microsoft platforms
  • Act as voice of customers to provide input on business plans and product improvements

Requirements For Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer II– Customer Focused

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years experience in software industry
  • 2 years of demonstrated IT experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level applications
  • 2+ years' experience in an external customer / client facing role
  • 2+ years of experience working on cloud computing technologies
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies (IaaS, PaaS, Identity and Authentication)
  • Experience in Monitoring related technologies
  • Experience in automation languages (PowerShell, Python, C#)
