Job Description

Microsoft's Azure Customer Engineering (ACE) team is seeking an Azure Customer Engineer to join their fast-growing organization within Azure Engineering. As an ACE, you'll be the primary support and engineering contact responsible for customer Azure support experience, driving resolution of complex problems and supporting key customer projects.

The role involves working closely with field teams and Azure engineering teams on proactive customer engagement, strategic project execution, and critical problem resolution. You'll own project-level Azure issues, lead support for critical workloads, and drive timely root cause analysis to prevent future issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and supporting customer solutions and workloads on Azure
  • Leading Azure Support to mitigate critical issues in a 24x7x365 environment
  • Owning support cases end-to-end and delivering excellent customer support
  • Driving product feedback and feature requests to improve Azure resiliency
  • Engaging with engineering teams to champion customer needs

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in cloud computing, particularly in areas like IaaS, PaaS, data platforms, and automation languages. You should be customer-obsessed, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements For Azure Customer Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics/Science, AI, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in technology industry, cloud, technical support, or customer experience engineering
  • 3+ years of IT experience supporting enterprise-level applications
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies
  • Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and data platform services
  • Knowledge of automation languages (PowerShell, Python, C#)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • US citizenship required
