Description For Critical Environment Electrical Engineer

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Critical Environment Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. The position involves working with a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters in 32 countries, supporting services for over 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Technical Project Implementation: Following project schedules, implementing product plans, and highlighting potential issues.
  2. Testing and Verification: Ensuring test requirements are included in documentation, determining appropriate test equipment, and developing test plans.
  3. Reporting and Documentation: Creating detailed reports and functional specifications, documenting design changes.
  4. Design: Developing knowledge of industry trends and implementing solutions to technical challenges.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Relevant technical engineering experience
  • Experience with project management in a critical environment
  • Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check
