Data Governance Engineer

Microsoft AI (MAI) is seeking an experienced Data Governance Engineer to join their team working on personal AI and Copilot systems. This role is part of a newly formed organization dedicated to advancing Copilot and other consumer AI products and research, including Bing and Edge.

The position sits within the Data Integrations team, responsible for building core integration pipelines that facilitate introspection and retrospection of data to improve human AI interactions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in distributed systems and templating with strong problem-solving abilities.

The role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technology while building mission-critical applications and platform components. You'll be working in a hybrid environment (3 days in office) in either New York, Redmond, or Mountain View, with competitive compensation ranging from $119,800 to $234,700 depending on location.

Key responsibilities include developing data security and governance tools, collaborating with AI researchers, and shipping high-quality code. The position requires expertise in languages like C#, Java, or Python, plus significant experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
