Description For Principal Customer Experience Engineer

Microsoft's Azure Customer Reliability Engineering (CRE) team is seeking a Principal Customer Experience Engineer to join their innovative team. This role combines customer-first approach with engineering expertise to design end-to-end customer experiences.

The position involves working with Azure's core services and first-party services, requiring deep understanding of Azure Services and their interdependencies. You'll be responsible for improving customer experience on Azure, working directly with customers, support teams, and engineering teams to deliver critical, customer-facing features.

As a Principal Customer Experience Engineer, you'll:

  • Analyze complex customer architectures to identify and resolve feature gaps
  • Implement SRE practices to enhance platform reliability
  • Drive customer resiliency improvements
  • Collaborate with product teams on platform enhancements
  • Lead customer experience improvements at scale

Responsibilities For Principal Customer Experience Engineer

  • Analyze and comprehend complex customer application architectures to identify and resolve feature and knowledge gaps
  • Work collaboratively across CRE to utilize SRE practices to improve systems, processes, and platform reliability
  • Identify and implement top customer resiliency improvements to minimize outage impacts
  • Collaborate with product teams to prioritize and drive platform improvements
  • Lead efforts to improve individual customer experiences while scaling platform improvements

Requirements For Principal Customer Experience Engineer

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Data Analytics/Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), or related field
  • 6+ years experience in technology industry, cloud, technical support, and/or customer experience engineering
  • 1+ year(s) of customer facing experience
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Deep understanding of Azure Services and their inter dependencies
