Description For Principal Software Engineer - CTJ - Top Secret

Microsoft is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for their Sovereign Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Team to design and implement scenarios for global customers in new regions. This role is part of Microsoft's Enterprise Cloud services, which are rapidly growing and strategically important. The Office 365 Enterprise Cloud team runs mission-critical cloud services for many Fortune 500 companies and government organizations.

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements
  • Drive identification of dependencies and develop design documents
  • Create, implement, and optimize code for performance and maintainability
  • Partner with project managers to drive project plans and work items
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers
  • Work on-call to monitor and maintain system uptime
  • Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends in cloud technology
