Principal Supply Chain Architect

Microsoft's Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Architect to join their Strategy and Transformation team. This role is crucial in shaping and optimizing the supply chain through strategic architectural planning and deep analysis. The ideal candidate will facilitate architecture analysis, document key decisions, and maintain architecture artifacts. They will collaborate with Transformation programs to ensure alignment of designs to future state goals, maintain a robust reference architecture, and drive Architecture Review Board assessments.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Facilitating architecture analysis of current and future supply chain architecture
2. Documenting and communicating key architectural decisions
3. Maintaining up-to-date architectural artifacts
4. Aligning with Transformation programs
5. Developing and maintaining a robust reference architecture
6. Leading Architecture Review Board reviews
7. Focusing on Decom, Spares, and Returns initiatives
8. Managing key integrations with partner organizations and new business models

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, supply chain operations or related fields
• 16+ years of overall experience
• 10+ years of experience designing and implementing systems including custom and 3rd party solutions (such as SAP, Dynamics 365, or other ERP)
• 5+ years of supply chain experience
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to lead/influence without authority
• Experience with SAP solutions and Blockchain/Web3 is a plus
• MBA preferred
