Security Operations Center Engineer - CTJ - Top Secret

Microsoft Federal is seeking a Security Operations Center Engineer to work alongside SOC analysts to enhance and build security tools. This role focuses on rapid development and adaptation of tools to accelerate incident response and threat hunting within a SOC environment.

The position requires an active Top Secret Security Clearance and involves working with the Configuration Security Unit (CSU) to enable swift detection and mitigation of security incidents. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with up to 50% work from home capability and involves 25-50% travel.

Key responsibilities include:

• Pre-Sales Support: Collaborating with stakeholders in the pre-sale process
• Technical Delivery: Leading customer meetings, implementing solutions, and managing technical workstreams
• Intellectual Property Management: Acting as an ambassador in IP consumption and improvement
• Business Development: Identifying opportunities to expand cloud adoption
• Operational Excellence: Ensuring compliance with Microsoft policies and procedures

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years leadership experience
• Active Security+ Certification
• 3+ years of SOC environment experience
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance

The base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $100,000 - $193,800 per year, with higher ranges for San Francisco and New York City areas ($126,100 - $204,000).
