Description For Senior Design For Test Engineer

Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is seeking a Senior Design For Test Engineer to join their Data Processing Unit (DPU) team in Santa Clara. This role is crucial in developing next-generation complex SoCs, offering exposure from DFT architecture to post-silicon bring-up.

The position sits within SCHIE, the team responsible for Microsoft's expanding Cloud Infrastructure and powering Microsoft's "Intelligent Cloud" mission. SCHIE delivers core infrastructure and foundational technologies for over 200 Microsoft online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Teams, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform globally.

As a Senior DFT Engineer, you'll be working specifically with the DPU team, which combines cutting-edge software and hardware expertise to create highly programmable and high-performance ASICs. The role involves designing, implementing, and validating scan, BIST, boundary scan, and IJTAG features in SoCs. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to generate and validate production vectors and work on silicon bring-up.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $119,800 - $234,700 (higher in SF Bay Area and NYC), along with comprehensive benefits including healthcare, educational resources, and investment options. The work arrangement is hybrid, with up to 50% work from home opportunity and 0-25% travel requirement.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced DFT engineers who want to work on cutting-edge technology at scale, with access to Microsoft's vast resources and the chance to impact millions of users worldwide. The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering or related fields, with specific expertise in DFT tools and methodologies.

Microsoft emphasizes a culture of inclusion and growth mindset, where employees collaborate to achieve shared goals while maintaining respect, integrity, and accountability. The company is committed to empowering every person and organization on the planet to achieve more, making this an ideal position for those who want to make a significant impact in the tech industry.
