Solution Engineer Data Security

Microsoft Security is seeking a Solution Engineer specializing in Data Security to join their team in Switzerland. This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling, focusing on helping customers protect, govern, and safeguard their sensitive data while managing regulatory compliance and privacy requirements.

As a Data Security Solution Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of Microsoft's mission to make the world a safer place. You'll work within the Solution Specialist Unit team, engaging directly with customers to demonstrate and implement Microsoft's comprehensive security solutions. The role requires deep technical knowledge of Data Security architectures, including Microsoft Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, and Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB).

The position involves significant customer interaction, requiring you to lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and architecture design sessions. You'll be responsible for developing strategies to improve clients' security posture and driving technical wins for Microsoft Security solutions. The role demands a blend of technical expertise and consultative skills, as you'll work closely with sales teams, partners, and various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include owning the technical aspects of sales processes, coordinating with sellers to understand opportunities, and developing compete strategies. You'll need to demonstrate strong technical understanding of cloud security technologies, architectures, and concepts such as Zero Trust, cloud security posture management, and cloud workload protection.

The ideal candidate should have several years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience, along with a strong educational background in Computer Science or related fields. Knowledge of German or French is preferred, and industry certifications such as CISSP or CCSP are valuable assets.
