Microsoft's ModeDS (Motion Development and Design Systems) team is seeking a UX Engineer II to help craft high-quality, consistent experiences across Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Planner, and Engage. This role sits uniquely between Design and Engineering, offering opportunities to tackle UX challenges holistically in the era of AI transformation. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Design, Research, Engineering, and Product Management.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 2+ years experience
  • 2+ years' experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
  • Solid front-end fundamentals (accessibility, performance, and responsive design)
  • Experience with Figma
  • Full-stack experience (e.g. NodeJS, Electron, Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience developing or working with internal design systems
