Description For Field Service Engineer

MineSense is revolutionizing the mining industry with innovative solutions that address crucial environmental and efficiency challenges. As a Field Service Engineer based in Kamloops, British Columbia, you'll play a vital role in our mission to reduce mining waste while increasing profitability.

Reporting to the Manager of Field Services Deployment, you'll be at the forefront of implementing our cutting-edge technology in the field. This role combines technical expertise with customer service, requiring someone who can effectively communicate with clients while handling complex engineering challenges. You'll be responsible for field installations, maintenance, and engineering troubleshooting, working directly with customers from initial contact through to commercial completion and aftermarket service.

The ideal candidate brings 1-2+ years of mining industry experience, preferably with on-site exposure, and 2+ years in product support or field service. A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mining, Earth Sciences, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical) is required. We're looking for a detail-oriented self-starter who can thrive in our fast-paced, growing industry.

Responsibilities For Field Service Engineer

  • Support new product in the field
  • Communicate with customers from first contact to commercial completion and aftermarket service
  • Plan, arrange, manage, and execute field installations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Assist MineSense Engineers to improve the product by communicating product problems/issues
  • Work with Mine technical staff to collect and compile data for system calibration

Requirements For Field Service Engineer

  • Bachelor's in Engineering discipline (Mining Engineering, Earth Sciences, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical)
  • 1-2+ years experience in the mining industry – on site experience preferred
  • 2+ years product support/field service experience highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency
  • Creative and enthusiastic with strong problem-solving skills
  • Team player with customer-focused attitude
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Health & Safety conscious
  • Legally able to work in Canada
