Junior Systems Engineer

Motorola Solutions, through its joint venture TETRON Sicherheitsnetz Errichtungs- und BetriebsgmbH with Nokia Solutions and Networks, is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer in Vienna, Austria. This role is crucial in supporting the digital radio networks that enable critical communications for public safety organizations.

The position involves working with TETRA communication systems and related infrastructure that serves police, fire, and ambulance services across Austria. As a Junior Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for system design, configuration, and support of both the core TETRA system and peripheral components. The role combines hands-on technical work with client interaction and project support.

Key aspects of the role include supporting system design and configuration, working on telephony functionality and IT infrastructure, and handling base station modifications and indoor coverage installations. You'll also assist with site relocations throughout Austria and prepare quotations for smaller projects.

The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Mechanical Engineering (HTL degree), along with fundamental IT and communications technology skills. Knowledge of IT networks and experience with both Windows and Linux systems is valuable. The role requires excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills in both German and English.
