Research Engineer (L5) - Growth and Commerce

Netflix is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join the Growth & Commerce Data Science & Engineering team. This role is critical in driving and accelerating sustainable growth of Netflix members and revenue globally. You'll lead the development of algorithmic & ML driven experience optimization systems, focusing on Growth & Commerce experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, implementing, and operating high impact machine learning models
• Partnering with cross-functional leads to identify valuable ML applications
• Working closely with scientists and engineers on end-to-end solutions
• Influencing the development of better ML infrastructure
• Advocating for best practices in availability, scalability, and operational excellence

The ideal candidate will have:

• Deep end-to-end ML experience with a track record of successful deployments
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive with minimal oversight
• Strong experience in ML/DL frameworks and software engineering
• PhD or Masters in Computer Science or related field preferred
