Description For Senior Power Analysis Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Power Analysis Engineer to join their Power Modeling, Methodology and Analysis Team. This role is crucial in maintaining NVIDIA's edge in energy-efficient products, particularly in GPUs and Tegra SOCs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Using internal and industry-standard pre-silicon gate-level and RTL power analysis tools to improve product power efficiency
  • Developing and sharing best practices for pre-silicon power analysis
  • Enhancing internal power tools and automating best practices
  • Performing comparative power analysis to identify trends and anomalies
  • Collaborating with architects and RTL designers to interpret power data and identify power bugs
  • Selecting and running various workloads for power analysis
  • Prototyping new architectural features in Verilog and analyzing power

The ideal candidate should have:

  • MS with 1-3 years of experience or PhD in related fields
  • Understanding of energy consumption, estimation, and low power design concepts
  • Familiarity with Verilog and ASIC design principles
  • Strong verbal/written English and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Python and C++
  • Ability to formulate and analyze algorithms
  • Desire to bring data-driven decision-making to product improvement
