NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Power Analysis Engineer to join their Power Modeling, Methodology and Analysis Team. This role is crucial in maintaining NVIDIA's edge in energy-efficient products, particularly in GPUs and Tegra SOCs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Using internal and industry-standard pre-silicon gate-level and RTL power analysis tools to improve product power efficiency
- Developing and sharing best practices for pre-silicon power analysis
- Enhancing internal power tools and automating best practices
- Performing comparative power analysis to identify trends and anomalies
- Collaborating with architects and RTL designers to interpret power data and identify power bugs
- Selecting and running various workloads for power analysis
- Prototyping new architectural features in Verilog and analyzing power
The ideal candidate should have:
- MS with 1-3 years of experience or PhD in related fields
- Understanding of energy consumption, estimation, and low power design concepts
- Familiarity with Verilog and ASIC design principles
- Strong verbal/written English and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Python and C++
- Ability to formulate and analyze algorithms
- Desire to bring data-driven decision-making to product improvement
