NVIDIA is seeking System Software Engineers specializing in motion planning and control systems to refine automated driving and parking features for Chinese OEM partners' carlines. As a key member of NVIDIA China Tegra Solution Engineering team, you'll be based in Shanghai or Beijing offices. Your duties will involve validating, adapting, and advancing the NDAS motion planning and control stack, focusing on China's unique challenges. The ideal candidate should have expert knowledge in vehicle dynamics, kinematic models, and control systems, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience in tuning and validating motion planning and control systems for autonomous driving and parking features is highly valued.
Responsibilities include:
- Understanding the architecture and codebase of NDAS motion planning and control components
- Customizing codebase and parameters to fine-tune performance for Chinese OEM partners
- Collaborating with teams to troubleshoot issues during simulations and test drives
- Defining and verifying product requirements through analysis, simulation, and testing
Requirements:
- BS, MS, or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- 3+ years of software engineering experience in motion planning and control algorithms
- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics and kinematic models
- Experience with software debugging tools
- Willingness to conduct hands-on testing in vehicles
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in motion planning and control theory
- Experience in developing real-time motion planning and control systems for automotive applications
- Track record of implementing motion planning and control systems in commercial products
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
