OLG (Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation) is seeking a Front-End Developer Student for a full-time position during Fall 2025 (September to December). This exciting opportunity is available in either Toronto or Sault Ste. Marie with a hybrid work arrangement. As part of a rapidly transforming organization that delivered $2.5 billion in net profit to Ontario in 2022-23, you'll contribute to OLG's mission of becoming a world-class gaming entertainment leader.
In this role, you'll work on user-facing features, collaborate with development teams, and ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. You'll be responsible for building reusable code libraries, executing unit tests, and maintaining efficient code bases. The position offers hands-on experience with modern web technologies including JavaScript, React, Node.js, and RESTful APIs.
This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in front-end development to gain practical experience in a large technology-driven organization. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $18.50 to $25.75 per hour.
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in UI development and Single Page Apps, solid understanding of web technologies, and excellent communication skills. You'll be working in an agile environment that values collaboration, attention to detail, and strong time management abilities.
Responsibilities For Front End Developer Student
- Gather business requirements from lab team
- Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Develop user-facing features and build reusable code libraries
- Execute unit tests to ensure consistency across devices and browsers
- Identify potential solution risks/issues and communicate to stakeholders
Requirements For Front End Developer Student
- Understanding of coding/development
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Node.js, React/Vue.js, RESTful API
