Description For Software Engineer

OnePay is revolutionizing consumer financial services with a mission to help people achieve financial progress. As a Software Engineer at OnePay, you'll be instrumental in building products that serve millions of unbanked and underbanked Americans. The role focuses on backend development using Node/TypeScript with fp-ts library for functional programming, running on Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure.

You'll be working on critical financial products including checking accounts, high-yield savings, peer-to-peer payments, credit building solutions, and buy-now-pay-later services. The position offers a competitive salary range of $130K-$220K plus equity, reflecting the importance of the role in OnePay's mission to create accessible banking solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of backend development experience and will be responsible for developing APIs, implementing new features, and architecting scalable solutions. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers in a remote-friendly environment. While specific stack experience isn't required, familiarity with functional programming concepts will help you ramp up quickly.
