We're seeking a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments. You'll work directly with the company's founders and help shape both the product and technical direction. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role ideal for someone who enjoys building across the stack and shipping features quickly.

Optery is automated opt out software serving individuals, families and businesses. We're the first company to offer a free report showing where personal information is posted by data brokers online, and the first to offer IT teams a self-service platform for removing employee information from the web.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building consumer data privacy software with experience in Python/Django, REST APIs, async processing, databases (SQL/NoSQL), security best practices, and cloud infrastructure. You'll work on designing scalable components, implementing integrations, and ensuring high performance and quality through testing.
