Principal Engineer, CSS Global SaaS & Apps Delivery, Cloud Admin

Oracle is seeking a Principal Engineer for their CSS Global SaaS & Apps Delivery, Cloud Admin team. This role is part of the OCI Cloud Admin team, which provides 24x7 infrastructure support for Oracle Cloud Servers, Storage, Network Infrastructure, interoperability, and Operating Systems support for Oracle's Gen2 Cloud and its customers across all OCI regions. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, independent problem-solving abilities, and expertise in Unix System Administration, Cloud Infrastructure, and Networking. The role involves complex tasks requiring independent judgment and the application of advanced technical and business skills. The successful candidate will be a leading contributor, providing direction and mentoring to others, and should have a solid understanding of cloud networking and distributed computing environment concepts. They will contribute to the development of platform services, including architecture, configuration, deployment, and support. Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Serverless Functions is required. The position demands flexibility to work in 24x7 rotation shifts and requires someone who is versatile, a long-term thinker, and enjoys working with new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
