Senior Network Operations Engineer

Oracle is seeking an experienced Senior Network Operations Engineer to join their Global Network Operations Center (GNOC) team in Abilene, Texas. This role is critical in maintaining and optimizing Oracle's network infrastructure, requiring 3-5 years of experience in network operations and automation.

The position involves working in a 24/7/365 environment, managing Oracle's extensive network infrastructure and implementing automated solutions for operational challenges. The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior engineers and leading technical projects.

Key technical requirements include advanced knowledge of networking protocols (PBGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4/6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS), experience with major networking equipment (Juniper, Cisco, Arista), and proficiency in automation using Python, Puppet, SQL, or Ansible. The ideal candidate will have experience in large ISP or cloud provider environments and strong analytical skills.
