Job Description
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Software Developer 3 to join their Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) team. This role combines the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud infrastructure with the stability of a global technology leader. You'll be part of the team building and maintaining OCI's managed Kubernetes experience, used by various internal and external customers.
The position involves working on distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services. The role requires expertise in Java or Golang, strong distributed systems knowledge, and experience with cloud infrastructure.
As part of the OKE team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing new features, debugging complex distributed systems, and working on automation and tooling. The team operates a 24x7 service at scale and has an extensive roadmap of features to enable scenarios for new customers.

Responsibilities For Software Developer 3
- Design new features and systems for our customers
- Work across teams to engineer the best system regardless of organizational boundaries
- Independently debug, maintain, and improve existing systems
- Scale systems by building tooling and automation
- Work with partner teams outside our organization
- Participate in on-call shift to address service issues
- Debug issues across a wide breadth of our stack
Requirements For Software Developer 3
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 3 or more years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems
- Experience with Java or Golang codebases and scripting languages
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems
- Systematic problem-solving approach and strong communication skills
- Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure
