Sr. Manager, Data Center Operations, JoinOCI

Oracle is seeking an experienced leader with strong people management skills, business acumen, and well-rounded IT technical abilities to lead teams responsible for building and supporting cloud data centers in the United States. The role involves managing physical sites, operations teams, and colocation partners across the greater Chicago area.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day operations of multiple data center sites in a 24/7 mission-critical environment
• Ensuring timely delivery of services and tasks to meet project milestones
• Driving quality benchmarks for new sites, regions, and deployments
• Managing incidents, driving resolution, and conducting after-action analysis
• Overseeing capacity expansions at various scales
• Recruiting and developing high-quality team members
• Fostering a culture of continual improvement and learning

The ideal candidate will have:

• 7+ years of confirmed IT leadership and management experience in the technology market
• Good knowledge of the data center ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling)
• Vendor relationship management and negotiation experience
• Adaptability and change management skills
• Ability to influence thinking and gain acceptance in sensitive situations
• Fluent English (written and verbal)
• BA/BS degree preferred
