Description For Sales Engineer

CCM enables global organizations to better protect themselves from cyber-attacks by ensuring their cybersecurity defenses are fully deployed and working effectively at all times.

The Sales Engineer role, reporting to the VP of Technical Sales and Services, is a pre-sales position working closely with sales and partner teams. You'll be responsible for developing and positioning solutions for prospects and customers, contributing directly to revenue objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and delivering customized use case driven demonstrations
  • Addressing technical blockers impeding deal closures
  • Managing and delivering technical proof-of-concepts
  • Leading RFP/RFI and RFQ responses
  • Providing technical consultation for partners and clients

The ideal candidate will have 0-5 years of Sales Engineering experience, a strong understanding of security vendors and tooling, and excellent presentation skills. Technical skills in AWS, Linux, YAML, JSON, SQL, and git are desirable.

Responsibilities For Sales Engineer

  • Prepare and deliver customized use case driven demonstrations
  • Address technical blockers impeding opportunity closures
  • Work on high-potential opportunities with sales/account executives
  • Problem-solve and develop practical and strategic solutions
  • Collaborate with customer success and technical teams
  • Work with Product Management on feature requests
  • Identify and communicate upsell opportunities
  • Manage and deliver technical proof-of-concepts
  • Deliver technical on-boarding for system integration Partners
  • Provide technical consultation services
  • Lead RFP/RFI and RFQ responses
  • Travel around 10% to meetings, clients, partners and events

Requirements For Sales Engineer

Linux
  • 0-5 years' Sales Engineering or related field experience
  • Strong understanding of security vendors and tooling landscape
  • Experience customizing demonstrations
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Solid content creation skills
  • AWS, Linux, YAML, JSON, SQL, git commands and GitHub, data science technical skills
  • Understanding of solution sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC)
