As a Staff Software Developer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing platform services that automate regulatory compliance artifacts, collaborating with Quality & Regulatory teams, and developing the Internal Developer Portal. The role requires expertise in medical software development, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and automation.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of professional experience in medical software development, strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, ISO 13485), and expertise in modern development practices including Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD. You'll lead software craftsmanship initiatives, mentor junior developers, and shape the future of software development at Philips.

Responsibilities For Staff Software Developer
- Design and implement platform services that automate regulatory compliance artifacts
- Collaborate with Quality & Regulatory teams to offer self-service automation
- Act as a key advocate for new platform technologies
- Develop and maintain Internal Developer Portal using Backstage
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Lead Software Craftsmanship and Release Optimization assessments
- Foster culture of transparency and collaboration through InnerSource practices
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Requirements For Staff Software Developer
- 12+ years professional experience in medical software development
- Experience with regulated medical software delivery (FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, ISO 13485)
- Experience automating compliance and regulatory processes
- Proficiency in core GIT concepts and CI/CD technologies like GitHub Actions
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/AWS preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- Experience providing Platform Engineering services at scale
