Description For IT Helpdesk Specialist I

Pinterest is seeking an IT Helpdesk Specialist I to join their IT Operations team. This role is an opportunity to have a significant impact by solving problems in innovative and creative ways. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling internal escalations, implementing changes to improve service, and creating a frictionless experience for both internal users and the IT team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advanced technical expertise for helpdesk requests and customer service conversations
  • Brainstorming and implementing improvements to IT Ops Helpdesk processes
  • Executing projects to enhance the Helpdesk experience
  • Working cross-functionally with various departments
  • Partnering with vendors to maintain high standards

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong project management skills
  • Advanced technical background in Mac and Windows troubleshooting
  • Solid understanding of SaaS tools and core systems used in new hire onboarding
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lead multiple initiatives and adapt to changing priorities
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when needed

This position offers a base salary range of $64,600 to $133,000 USD, with additional equity opportunities. Pinterest provides a flexible work model called PinFlex, allowing employees to work and live flexibly.

Linux
  • Project focused thinker, able to comprehend multi-faceted projects and deliver on due dates
  • Advanced technical background in Mac and Windows computer troubleshooting
  • Strong technical understanding of SaaS tools and core systems used in new hire onboarding
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills, including VIP support
  • Ability to lead multiple initiatives to drive results
  • Ability to travel when needed (both domestically and internationally)
  • Ability to take supervisory direction, change priorities, and work independently
