Sr. Software Engineer, Product Security

Pinterest is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for their Product Security team to fight automations and prevent platform abuses. The role involves defining strategies, building solutions, performing data analysis, and improving the overall anti-automation posture and bot detection capabilities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in bot detection and hands-on experience building such solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying gaps in existing anti-automation approaches and driving improvements
• Defining anti-automation policies and strategies
• Integrating industry best practices into existing systems
• Delivering well-documented, tested, and operable code
• Architecting scalable solutions for internal customers' bot signal needs
• Interacting with stakeholders to define goals and metrics

The position requires:

• 5+ years of experience in anti-automation, bot detection, or fraud detection
• Enthusiasm for the constant fight against bots
• Proficiency in dynamic programming languages like Python
