Experienced Software Engineer - Frontend Engineer

Plaid, a leading financial technology company, is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer specializing in Frontend Engineering to join their Link Foundations team. This role is crucial in shaping the core user flows and SDKs for Plaid Link, the primary way millions of users interact with Plaid's services.

As a Frontend Engineer at Plaid, you'll be at the forefront of creating seamless and secure linking experiences that enhance the performance of all Plaid products. You'll work on ambitious projects to bring high levels of design quality and polish to Plaid's most visible surface area: Link. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, especially the design team, to maintain a high bar for the final experience that ships into production.

The Link team at Plaid is responsible for continually evolving Link to be a high-quality and streamlined experience for end users and customers. You'll be part of a highly collaborative, remote-first team whose work spans various technologies, services, and product areas. The tech stack includes Go for API and backend services, and TypeScript with React for frontend components.

Key responsibilities include working closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and legal constraints, deeply understanding client needs to architect tailored solutions, partnering with teams across Plaid to iterate on and improve products, and taking ownership of projects while mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of frontend engineering experience, strong skills in React or a similar framework, an eye for high-quality UX, excellent coding and testing skills, and experience leading projects and working with cross-functional teams.

Plaid offers a competitive salary range of $162,000 - $243,000 per year, along with additional compensation in the form of equity and/or commission. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.
