Engineer- MM Audio Test

As a Qualcomm Software Test Engineer, you will design, develop, create, and modify test cases and validate embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, application software, automation, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Software Test Engineers collaborate across various engineering teams and functions to design and implement test plans.

Key Responsibilities: • Leverage advanced software and systems knowledge to design, develop, create, and modify test cases for embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, application software, automation, and specialized utility programs. • Design and implement complex test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures to identify failures within multiple areas of code and the system. • Review tests and add additional test cases to ensure sufficient feature coverage and thorough issue analysis. • Identify, analyze, and document major software defects and report them to software developers. • Collaborate with internal and external teams to facilitate debugging, issue fixing, and overall product quality improvement. • Develop complex test case automations and/or scripts to improve productivity.

Level of Responsibility: • Work independently with minimal supervision. • Provide supervision/guidance to other team members. • Make significant decisions affecting work beyond immediate work group. • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with basic negotiation and influence skills. • Contribute to key organizational decisions through consultation with senior leadership. • Handle tasks without defined steps, requiring planning, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
