Microcontroller Sub-system Senior Design Engineer/ Staff Design Engineer - Cork, Ireland

Qualcomm is seeking a Microcontroller Sub-system Senior/Staff Design Engineer for their Cork, Ireland location. This role is part of the Microcontroller Sub-System IP team, which is crucial in enabling embedded processing solutions across various functions and products at Qualcomm. The team works on security, power management, and other SoC functions across multiple business units including IoT, Mobile, Auto, XR, and Compute.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing micro-architecture for digital blocks, developing RTL code, debugging issues, and optimizing designs for key metrics. They will work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with cross-functional teams including DFT, Implementation, Verification, Emulation, and Firmware teams.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of ASIC design experience. Key technical skills include complex digital logic design, knowledge of ISAs, processor/microcontroller system design, and experience with multi-power domain designs. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Perl is essential.
