Qualcomm China is seeking a PMIC SW Customer Engineer to join their Engineering Group, focusing on Software Applications Engineering. This role involves supporting Qualcomm customers developing PC/Mobile/tablet solutions based on Qualcomm technology. The ideal candidate will have strong embedded software debugging skills, familiarity with ARM or other architectures, and sound knowledge of Power Management and charging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Qualcomm customers developing PC/Mobile/tablet solutions
- Provide training on Qualcomm products and PMIC software solutions
- Guide customer engineers in resolving issues with Qualcomm PMIC chips and software drivers
- Troubleshoot and identify problems reported by customers
- Analyze and narrow down root causes of issues
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering or Software Development experience
- Strong embedded software debugging skills on driver/system level
- Familiarity with ARM or other (X86, MIPS, PowerPC) architectures
- Knowledge of Power Management, including Buck converter, boost converter, and LDO
- Experience with charging technologies and battery monitoring systems
- Hardware schematic reading and test equipment experience
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering or Software Development experience
- 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing role
